Laser Treatments in Castle Rock: Why November Is Your Skin’s Moment
Summer was fun. Your skin may have a few things to say about it.
Between the Colorado sun, the patio days and the “I’ll reapply in a minute” moments, most of us head into fall with some freckles, redness or texture we didn’t have in May. The good news is that cooler months are the best time to do something about it.
This month at Renova, we’re spotlighting three laser treatments: Morpheus8, BBL HEROic and MOXI. Here’s what each one does and how to figure out which is right for you.

Why Fall and Winter Are Laser Season
Light-based treatments work best on skin that hasn’t been freshly tanned, and our sun exposure drops this time of year. More time indoors, more scarves and less sun means better results and an easier recovery. Pair that with holiday photos and party season, and November is a smart time to start.
Morpheus8: For Skin That Needs a Lift
Best for: loose or crepey skin, jawline and neck, texture, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Tiny needles deliver heat deep beneath the surface, which nudges your skin to build fresh collagen and tighten up from the inside. Think of it as a firming reset for your face, neck or body.
Where we treat: face, jawline, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs and more
Skin tones: designed to work for all skin types
Comfort: we apply numbing cream first
Downtime: expect redness, mild swelling or pinpoint marks for a few days
The plan: most clients do a series of 2 to 3 sessions, about 4 to 6 weeks apart
The payoff: early glow in weeks, with collagen building for about 3 months
BBL HEROic: For Sun Spots, Redness and Uneven Tone
Best for: sun damage, freckles, age spots, rosacea, broken capillaries, dull skin
BBL HEROic is our go-to for clearing up color. It uses broadband light to target brown pigment and tiny red vessels, so spots fade and redness calms down. It’s quick, with most sessions taking 5 to 30 minutes depending on the area, and there’s little to no downtime.
One thing to know: your spots will get darker before they get better. They can look like tiny coffee grounds for a few days, then flake away. That means it’s working. (This is why we say don’t book it two days before a big event!)
Where we treat: face, neck, chest, hands, arms, legs and back
The plan: most clients see a change after one or two sessions, with about three sessions being typical
Who should wait: recent tan, certain medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin irritation or melasma. We’ll walk through all of this at your consult.
Good to know: BBL treats tone and clarity, not laxity. New sun means new spots, so SPF is part of the plan.
MOXI: For Glow, Prevention and Easy Maintenance
Best for: early sun damage, fine lines, uneven tone, rough texture, a fresh start
MOXI is a gentle laser that refreshes your skin without a big commitment. It creates tiny treatment zones that your body quickly heals and replaces with healthy new skin. Many people use it for “prejuvenation,” which means staying ahead of aging instead of chasing it.
Where we treat: face, neck, chest, hands, arms and legs
Skin tones: suitable for all skin types and for year-round use
Session time: quick, with numbing cream available
Recovery: you’ll see warmth and redness at first, then small dark specks that feel a bit like sandpaper. They shed on their own within 3 to 5 days.
The plan: typically 3 to 4 sessions, about 4 to 5 weeks apart, then maintenance
Better Together: Combo Treatments
These lasers work well as a team. Many clients pair MOXI with BBL HEROic to tackle tone, texture and redness in one plan. Morpheus8 can be added when firming is on your list. At your consultation, we’ll build a plan around your goals, your skin and your calendar.
